Sophie Ann Rooney is a multilingual, award-winning filmmaker and director-writer whose work spans film, video games (voice & motion capture), theatre, animation, music videos, and international dubbing.

 

She is the Founder and Artistic Director of The King Black Box in Toronto and serves as Director and Head Educator at RAW Actor Studio.

Born and raised in France, Rooney holds dual French and British citizenship and resides in Toronto as a Canadian permanent resident.​
